The braider maps out parting, direction, and pattern on the scalp to suit your head shape and hair texture. This step turns a concept into an achievable plan and makes it easier to match the style you want.
Because this is custom work, the final design depends on hair length, density, and natural growth patterns. The braider adapts spacing and braid size to those factors, so a picture may be closely recreated but adjusted where necessary for fit, comfort, and lasting wear.

Appointments begin with a short setup and confirmation of the chosen design. The stylist aims to be accommodating—scheduling often fits before- or after-work clients—and can sometimes work with same-day requests. Freestyle Braiding is priced at $85 and scheduled for 120 minutes. That block typically covers consultation, parting, braiding, and finishing touches. Complex or highly detailed designs may require the full appointment time, which is why summer and holidays (Jun, Jul, Dec) are our busiest months.
Maintenance and care in Richmond
After styling, the service includes finishing touches such as light oiling of braids and scalp plus application of holding mousse to set the pattern.
